WE ARE CALLING FOR HUMANE CONDITIONS AT BLM HOLDING FACILITIES

We are calling for the preservation of Wild Horses and have come together to urge the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to provide humane treatment at holding facilities during the sweltering summer months. Although the BLM requires adopters of wild horses and burros to provide the animals with shelter from the elements, the agency does not adhere to its own standards in its short-term holding corralls. As a result, thousands of wild horses and burros have had to endure punishing temperatures in BLM holding pens throughout the West, with no escape from the sun and heat. This is inhumane and we must build shelters now!!.
